Walking in Dublin

People in Copenhagen never jay-walk (against a walk signal) - they are rule-followers.  Rarely do people in Germany - it sets a bad example for the kids.  Then there's Dublin:

Nobody obeys the traffic signals - as soon as there's a gap, people cross.  And you know, as much as I'm a fan of the rules, I'm 100% behind this.  Why?  Because Dublin traffic signals are LUDICROUS.  It would literally take you 30 minutes to go 200 metres if you obey all of the pedestrian signals. Sarah and I decided to obey the signal outside of the main criminal courts, and we waited for about 5 minutes to cross after pressing the walk button.  And these are not highways - they're narrow downtown streets.

So, Dublin.  Live like a local and ignore the pedestrian lights.
