I know, I know. As some of you have pointed out, it has been awhile since we updated the blog. But, as you will see, it's all for good reason. In that time I have become a hardy outdoorsperson (rather than a hardly outdoorsperson!) and we have spent bunches of time in the outdoors and with good friends. First up, some pictures from the two days we spent in Lake Louise hosted by our awesome friend K Lo.
At Moraine Lake, ready for a stroll... er, hardy hike... to Consolation Lakes.
Ridiculously picturesque Moraine Lake.
Baby J shows us how to hike. Seriously, he kicked my butt going up that trail! We don't know the people in the background, but they joined our group to go up the trail as this is one of a few in Banff National Park where you are required to hike in groups of four or more to adequately scare off grizzlies. Luckily for us it worked!
"Consolation" is kind of an odd name for a set of lakes. They sure didn't feel like a consolation prize!
The lovely Lake Louise ski lodge.
Baby attack!
Frolicking in the alpine meadows atop the Lake Louise gondola. You can see Lake Louise across the valley.
Thanks to K Lo and Baby J for being such great hosts! We had a fantastic time in Lake Louise - there is a reason there are so many damn tour busses there.
