Apparently roadtripping is not as conducive to blogging as Euro-travel, as it appears we have been on the road for a week and haven't had a chance yet to catch up on our adventures!
Let's start at the beginning; almost a week ago we hopped in the car at Salmon Arm, BC and headed for the US border. After a few stops along the way to visit our friend Spencer at his pizza shop in Vernon (shameless plug: visit Margheritas - the pizza is delicious!), Chad's Dad in Kelowna, and at Firehall Brewing in Oliver, we pitched our tent in Oroville, Washington.
We were in Oliver for our honeymoon last summer and this Firehall Brewing wasn't open yet, so it's quite new, but definitely worth a visit to taste their beer!
Beer tastes better when you're camping. Being in the US where you can sample the latest Deschutes offerings for cheap doesn't hurt either.
Okay, we didn't exactly rough it our first night. Our tent was on a bed of soft grass and the park we stayed at had both WiFi and showers. Yes, WiFi from your tent.
Chad scoffs in the face of 50 cent showers - why pay when you can take a dip in a glassy lake on a July morning instead?
